JAMB Reacts After Man Shares Photo of Alleged UTME Question with “Double Answer”

Gideon Anyebe, a candidate who took the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), recently voiced his displeasure with a question he came across.

Anyebe asked why such a thing happened and posted a picture of a question with what he claimed to be two possible solutions on his X account, @GideonAnyebe1.

Anyebe wrote, “Why do we have this kind of double answer? ” in the snapshot that was posted on X, the former name of Twitter. Please provide an explanation and any potential fixes.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) responded to the query after it generated an internet debate.

In response, JAMB said that the image in question did not accurately depict the opinions of their test delivery candidates. Moreover, JAMB expressed dismay over Anyebe’s ability to snap a photo within the exam room in spite of stringent guidelines prohibiting the use of mobile devices.

“This is not the test delivery candidate for JAMB’s opinion. You might still need to respond to a few queries even if it were. After being advised not to bring any kind of electronic device to the UTME center, how did you manage to snap the photo?

The testing organization cautioned against using electronic devices during the computer-based exam and underlined the significance of following exam rules (CBT). According to JAMB’s reaction, if Anyebe did taken the photo inside the exam center, he might be in trouble for breaking the regulations.
