Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH), Yola, has received the National Universities Commission (NUC) approval for five new undergraduate degree programmes, set to commence in the 2024/2025 academic session.
The approval follows a resource verification exercise conducted by panels of experts, which evaluated the institution’s human and material resources for establishing the programmes.
The newly approved programmes are:
- B.NSc. Nursing Science
- LL.B. Law
- LL.B. Common and Islamic Law
- B.Sc. Political Science
- B.Sc. Sociology
The NUC specified that the approval applies solely to the full-time mode of these programmes. Any plans to introduce part-time delivery must receive additional approval from the Commission.
The programmes must adhere to the approved titles and nomenclature, with changes subject to further NUC approval. The university is encouraged to maintain and enhance its resources to ensure the development and sustainability of these programmes.
This milestone marks a significant step forward for MAUTECH in expanding its academic offerings and meeting the growing demand for diverse educational opportunities in Nigeria.
