Nick Cannon, a well-known American comedian, actor, and television host, has earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminology/Administration of Justice with a minor in Africana Studies from Howard University in Washington, D.C.
After enrolling at the Historically Black College and University HBCU in 2016, Cannon finished his degree in 2020 during the COVID-19 epidemic and spoke at the virtual commencement event.

Today, I received my degree from Howard University! I had the chance to speak at the virtual ceremony—Master’s and PhD next! He posted a video of himself wearing his graduation cap and gown on Instagram to make the announcement.
Inspired by leaders like Nelson Mandela and motivated by a quest for personal development, Cannon saw education as a potent instrument for transformation. When he enrolled, he cited the statement, “Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world.”
Cannon accepted the challenge of higher education in spite of his hectic job and notoriety, attributing his achievement to the heritage of Howard University, friends, and mentors.
He now intends to pursue graduate work, demonstrating that a commitment to education transcends all boundaries, regardless of one’s upbringing or line of work.
