Nigerian musician and public personality, Olubankole Wellington popularly known as Banky W’ just earned a Master’s degree in Policy Management from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., USA, marking an excellent academic achievement.
Banky W posted touching pictures of himself during his graduation with family and friends on Instagram to commemorate the event. He regarded the trip as a time of introspection and transformation in his life.
He thought, “There are times when it’s necessary to take a step back from the chaos and consider who you’re becoming.”
Perseverance, Family, and Faith
Banky W balanced parenting and the demands of graduate school while earning his degree and welcoming his second kid. He credited his accomplishment to divine grace, faith, and the unwavering support of his wife, actress Adesua Etomi, and characterised it as a tiring but significant period of life.
“A cup that is empty cannot be used to pour. I needed to rejuvenate, to grow not just as a performer but also as a leader and a person,” he said.
A Lifetime Dedication to Development
Before reaching this milestone, Banky W received a scholarship to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree. He has always looked for new challenges, whether in politics or music, and now that he has achieved academic achievement, he inspires others to believe in the potential of reinvention and second chances.
He continued by saying, “It’s never too late to start over or write a new ending.”
