Two educators in Osun State have been arrested on suspicion of participating in the sexual assault of two students.
The issue was confirmed in a recent statement by Kehinde Adeleke, the spokesperson for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Osun State.

According to her, “a 22-year-old male teacher named Ahmadan Rufai Akorede was arrested for allegedly forcing his genitalia into the mouth of a seven-year-old female student in Ilesa.”
According to a thorough inquiry, the teacher’s aggressive behaviour began the previous year. He acknowledged that after school, he would ask the victim to shut all the windows in the classroom before continuing the abuse.
After being taken to the Ilesa Magistrates’ Court, the suspect entered a not guilty plea to the charges and was placed under remand at the Ilesa correctional facility.
Another teacher was accused of inappropriately touching a minor’s body in the classroom after school hours in a related instance.
“A 20-year-old man named Tiamiyu Samuel was arrested for engaging in sexual relations with a 12-year-old girl in Gbongan, Osun State,” Adeleke added.
The victim had rejected the suspect’s love advances after they had been acquainted for three years. Around 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 23, 2025, the victim went by Samuel’s residence, when he, with the help of an accomplice, enticed her into his room.
He then sexually assaulted the victim while threatening her with a cutlass. The lady reportedly suffered bleeding after the encounter, and Samuel allegedly threatened to kill her in order to keep her quiet. Although the accomplice is still at large, justice will be served by pursuing them.
