WAEC Course OutlineComputer-Based WAEC GCE Examinations
A major change is planned for the General Certificate Examination (GCE) of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) for 2024, with a focus mostly on Computer-based Testing (CBT). This novel approach will be applied mostly to Objective papers, in which candidates will have to complete all questions in the CBT format. However, the essay and practical assessments use a mixed format in the examination. In these parts, applicants will record their responses on paper while the questions are displayed on computer screens. The goal of this hybrid approach is to expedite the testing procedure without sacrificing the integrity and rigor of the test.
