MYCOTEN® CLOTRIMAZOLE TABLET

Mycoten contains the synthetic fungicidal broad spectrum antifungal agent, Clotrimazole chemically identified as Bisphenyl-(2-chlorophenyl)-1-imidazolymethane

INDICATIONS:
Mycoten tablet (clotrimazole) effective in the treatment of fungal skin infections due to Deramatophytes w.g. tricophyton species, yeast, e.g. Candida species, moulds, and other fungal such as Tinea Capitis. Tinea Cprporis, Tinea mannum, Tinea Barbae, Tinea Cruris, Tinea Pedis (athlte’s Foot) Pityriasis Versicolor, Erythrasma

CONTRA INDICATIONS
Mycoten preparations are contra indicated in individuals who have shown hypersensitivity to Clotrimazole Components as the case may be.

PRECAUTIONS
If local irritation or allergic reaction should occur, the treatment should be discontinued.

Mycoten vaginal tablets and Mycoten vaginal cream are very effective in the treatment of viganl candidisis accociated with pregnancy but should be prescribed with caution during the first trimester.

Note: the vaginal tablet is preferred during pregnancy since it can be inserted without applicator.
