Noriday is a progestogen-only oral contraceptive – commonly known as the ‘mini pill’ or progestogen-only pill (POP) – and is almost 100% effective at preventing pregnancy . Noriday is taken in the form of a one-a-day 0.35mg tablet over the course of 28 days. As it contains only synthetic progestogen (norethisterone) as an active ingredient, it may be more suitable for women who are likely to develop oestrogen related side effects. It is also a better option for women who are breastfeeding, have regular migraines or who are over 35 and smoke.
