A JAMB candidate has made grave accusations against Mr. Segun, the owner of “The Connection Tutorial,” alleging that he physically abused her and made unwanted approaches towards her.
She described her upsetting experience in a series of videos uploaded to her TikTok account, claiming that she was attacked at the tutorial centre by Mr. Segun, his wife, and his sister-in-law.
The candidate clarified that she had trouble creating her JAMB profile code, therefore her mother turned to Mr. Segun for help. He promised to assist in resolving the matter. But after their first meeting, he started calling her a lot and urging her to visit the centre, frequently keeping her waiting as he attended to other pupils.
She went to the tutorial centre in early February after paying her fees in advance on January 28. She says that even though she had paid, she was told to wait outside while a different student who had not paid was given admission. Mr. Segun allegedly attacked her with a wire and started beating her as she tried to put her suitcase inside before granting her request to wait outside. She shoved him away in self-defence, which caused him to fall, hurt his arm, and shatter his phone.
After the fight, the candidate was allegedly challenged by Mr. Segun’s wife, who used foul language and accused her of immoral behaviour. The candidate allegedly disclosed that Mr. Segun had been making unwelcome passes on her in retaliation. As the altercation intensified, the student was allegedly physically assaulted by the wife’s sister.
“I used to attend this tutorial. Mr. Segun was supposed to assist me with my JAMB profile code issue after my mum approached him for help,” she stated. “Since then, he frequently called me and asked me to wait after lessons. The first time, he made me wait while he attended to others, so I left. Another time, I refused to wait again, and he later told my friend that he would punish her for taking me home.”
