The purpose of this scholarship is to support young women who want to join the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and pursue a professional accounting certification. They are between the ages of 18 and 23. The EmpowerHer Scholarship seeks to remove obstacles and provide opportunities for the future generation of female accountants by offering financial support.
Qualifications
You must fulfil the following requirements in order to be qualified for the EmpowerHer Accounting Scholarship:
- Age Requirement: Women between the ages of 18 and 23 must apply.

Qualifications for Education
- Secondary Education: Hold five (5) credit passes from the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), General Certificate of Education (GCE), National Examinations Council (NECO), or any comparable qualification in any subject, including English Language, Mathematics, and Accounting.
OR
- Hold an Ordinary National Diploma from any polytechnic that has been approved by the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Accountants to qualify for postsecondary education.
