Tony Asekhuno a lecturer at UNIBEN is accused by students of sexual harassment.
Students and former students of Anthony Asekhauno, a philosophy professor at the University of Benin, have accused him of sexual harassment.
The charges were first made by social media user CHIKAMMA (AlexVivyNnabue) when she wrote:
Tony Asekhuno purposefully failed my logic three times before raping me in his office during my final year and awarding me a C. I wouldn’t date him, so I continued to fail.
He was even given the title of HOD and free reign to do what he pleased. He insisted that we pay him to have an official dinner, therefore he refused to allow my set to do one.
Feyi Peters, a social media user, responded to CHIKAMMA’s tweet against Tony Asekhuno by accusing the lecturer of attempting to rape him. She penned:
On a Sunday night, this same man nearly sexually assaulted both my friend and me at his office. My acquaintance desired to move to the law faculty. That day, after we had just completed level 100, this man called and intimidated her, saying that we should go to his first.
My friend begged me to go with her so we could leave on time, even though I told her I wasn’t going because it wasn’t a lecture day. When we arrived at the faculty, he was trying to figure out how to send someone upstairs. He then took my companion. Later, when I contacted her, her voice was
She was weeping and unsteady. She then replied, “He’s calling you.” When I arrived, he had already sent her on her way, but fortunately for me, he hadn’t locked the door that day. My friend and I have numerous anecdotes about that dude. Back then, he was our HOD.
I called, thinking I was giving him a chance to try it on me, but he had already looked at the door and kept the key, making it impossible for her to go.
Regarding Tony Asekhuno, Azeta Sonia stated the following:
It’s funny how this same dude caused me to have missing scripts that I had to redo till my third year.
I apologize for not going to the staff club with him. I was re-registering for the course after seeing the missing scripts’ results, thanks to Dr. Odia becoming HOD.
Odia just had the result cleared for me. Additionally, I was extremely cautious about every speaker there till I left. The absurd thing is that everyone is aware of Kalala’s actions. However, they all keep to themselves.

Before, in October 2019, CHIKAMMA had posted:
Asekhauno Tony. a persistent abuser, rapist, and molester. Philosophy Department. We endured suffering.
Anyone found guilty should get the appropriate punishment after a thorough inquiry.
But why, up until now, didn’t any of these girls speak up? Am I overlooking something? The same man sexually assaulted two girls in the same room on a single evening, yet the victims said nothing. It seems absurd that the first girl even called in the second after taking her turn. We must drag the man along with the foolish girls if the man really did sexually abuse all of these girls. Why are you waiting so long to expose a rapist who ought to be lynched right away? Oh no!
Alright, let a thorough investigation be carried out and let mercy not be mixed with justice.

Mumu girls, even the former students are starting to speak up. Why haven’t they done so for so long? After agreeing to complete study materials with lecturers in order to pass an exam, they wouldn’t read because they would be too busy following Yahoo guys around.
