UNIABUJA Postgraduate Admission Form for the 2023/2024 Session

The sale of admission forms for postgraduate programs at the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) has begun for the 2023/2024 academic year. A Postgraduate Diploma, Master’s degree, and Doctorate degree can be obtained through the postgraduate programs offered by different faculties and departments. Ed), Master of Science (M.Sc.), Master of Law (LL.M.), Master of Public Administration (MPA), Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.), and Master of Environmental Planning and Protection (MEPP).
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in a variety of specializations from the departments and faculties mentioned in items ‘a’ and ‘b’ above.

General Requirements for UNIABUJA Postgraduate Admission Entry:

Before beginning the application process, applicants must fulfil the following prerequisites for general admission:

• A candidate for postgraduate study at the University of Abuja must have earned at least five credits in the WASC NECO GCE (Ordinary Level), or its equivalent, in English and Mathematics in no more than two sittings.
• Candidates must hold at least a second-class lower-division bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline to be considered for the M.A., M.Ed, M. Eng., MVPH, MVPM, and M.Sc. degrees in any field.
• A letter grade “B” for average performance in the Master’s Degree with a minimum weighted average score of 60% (4 points) is required for admission to any program at the University of Abuja for a Ph.D. applicant.
• When applying for a PhD program, a candidate with a master’s degree from any other university who did not complete the required courses or their equivalent—which are similar to the courses offered at the University of Abuja—must offer and pass those courses with a minimum of 60% (4 points) or a letter grade of “B” upon admission.
• Applicants must have completed an HND with a minimum of Lower Credit or a university degree with a minimum grade of third class to be considered for admission to any of the postgraduate diploma programs.
• MPH Sexual and Reproductive Health requires a degree in health, while MPH Community Medicine requires an MBBS and BDS.

Attaching a research proposal, no longer than 500 words, is required of PhD candidates.

How to Fill Out the Postgraduate Form for UNIABUJA

You can apply for UNIABUJA Postgraduate Admission for the 2023–2024 academic year if you fulfill the general entry requirements. To apply, take these actions:

• Go to https://portal.uniabuja.edu.ng to access the University of Abuja portal.
• On “Click here to apply,” click.
• Press the Postgraduate option in the left pane.
• Click Next after entering the necessary information (surname, first name, other names, email address, and phone number).
• To generate RRR from the payment preview page, click on it.
• After selecting “Make Payment,” you will be taken to the Remita platform where you can input your credit card information (Master Card or Visa Card).
• You will be logged out and taken back to the application number-generating portal upon successful payment.
• To proceed with the application procedure, click “Main Login,” then enter your surname and the application number that was produced as the password.

Application cost: Through REMITA and the University of Abuja Portal, a non-refundable application cost of N20,000.00 must be submitted to the University of Abuja Account. For record-keeping purposes, applicants are recommended to use the University of Abuja Portal to access REMITA.

Take note of the following:

• Inaccuracies in the applicant’s application will result in additional fees.
• It is necessary to pay for and complete the paperwork for each application individually.
• If forms are completed and submitted incorrectly throughout the application process, the academic session’s application processing will be terminated (e.g., choosing to pursue an M.Phil. rather than an M.Sc. or Ph.D.).
• A candidate may not transfer their application to be considered for another program if they are not accepted into the one they applied for.
• Admissions officers will not accept Statements of Results for four years or more; instead, candidates should obtain certificates from the appropriate examination authorities.
• The application costs are not refunded.
