UNIZIK 2024/2025 entrance screening formula
This is to alert the University community and the public that PostUTME, Direct Entry, and other relevant Screening Examinations for 2024/2025 admission will use an automated O’ level and UTME results grading system.
Candidates should submit their O’ level results to JAMB CAPS Portal at certified CBT centers or JAMB offices for the 2024/2025 admission process.
Candidates should not post results to JAMB CAPS Portal at non-JAMB-accredited internet cafés.
For transparency in the 2024/2025 admission exercise, the following calculating method will be employed.
UTME Applicants
Candidate screening will be based on UTME scores and O’level results for the four disciplines. These factors apply:
A. RATIO: 70% UTME score, 30% O’level subject score 70/100 = 0.7; 30/100 = 0.3
B. O-Level Results Ranking O’level scores will be ranked:
A1=90, B2=80, 83=70, C4=60, C5=55, C6=50, D7, E8, F9=0. AR=0 Waiting Results
UTME topics will be utilized for O’ level subjects for each applicant.
For example, a candidate who took English, Math, Chemistry, and Physics in UTME will have their O’level points calculated using their marks.
C. BONUS-A candidate who credits four O-level topics in one sitting receives 10 points. Candidates who took four O-levels in two sittings will not get a bonus.
D. FACTS
Final score = UTME 0.7 + O’level + Bonus*0.3
Single Seating:
Weighted UTME+O’level = Final Score
285 x 0.7)+[ (300+10) x 0.3]
= 199.5+ 93
= 292.5
Two-Sitting:
Final Score Weighted UTME+O’level
(285 x0.7) + [ [300+0)x 0.3]
=199.5+90
=289.5
Note: The final screening scores of a candidate who credits his four O’level subjects in one sitting and the one who did it in two sittings varied by 3.
