Youngest Female Pilot

African’s Youngest Female Pilot

Ouloassia Jennifer Yhaye, 20, is one of Africa’s youngest female airline pilots. At Morning Glory International School in Abidjan, Jennifer began her adventure. She graduated in 2014 with a bachelor in pure mathematics, physics, and instrumentation and control, proficient in French, English, and Spanish.

Jennifer attended 43 Air School (PTY) Ltd. in South Africa, known for producing great pilots. She graduated as a commercial pilot in 2016 after two years of intense training.

Jennifer returned to Ivory Coast at 20 and became a first officer with Air Côte d’Ivoire’s DASH 8-Q400 at Asky.

She learned to fly the ATR 42/72 and B737-800. She has over 800 flying hours by 2019, a feat for any pilot.

Jennifer received the Excellence Prize for aviation industry contribution from the Ivorian State for her outstanding achievements and professional devotion.

Jennifer is a 737MAX pilot for ASKY AIRLINES, one of the first in West Africa.

Jennifer had considered keeping her success quiet, but now she realizes its significance. She thinks her tale will encourage other women, young pilots, black people, and dreamers to achieve their dreams.
