The University of Ahmadu Bello (ABU), Zaria is extending a warm welcome to all deserving applicants. Applications for the university’s Basic (IJMB) and Remedial programs for the 2023–2024 academic year are now being accepted.

ABU Programmes

1. IJMB

As an aspirant aiming for Direct Entry into any Nigerian University, ABU’s IJMB program is for you. It’s an Advanced Level Programme that takes a period of Twelve (12) months.

2. Remedial Programme:

ABU Zaria Remedial program acts as a transitional programme and takes 9 months to completion. Completing this curriculum successfully guarantees admission to the esteemed ABU Zaria.

IJMB Admission Requirements

1. A minimum of five (5) credits, including English language and math, are required in not more than 2 sittings. Possible subject pairings include:
   • Basic Science 1: Biology, Chemistry and Physics
   • Basic Science 2: Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics
   • Basic Science 3: Physics, Chemistry and Geology
   • Basic Science 4: Chemistry, Geography and Physics
   • Basic Science 5: Geography, Mathematics and Physics
   • Basic Science 6: Chemistry, Geology and Physics
2. Upon admission, candidates are required to register for JAMB Direct Entry Admission.
3. The IJMB program takes twelve (12) months.

ABU Remedial Admission Requirements

For anyone considering the Remedial program, the following information is essential:

• A minimum of three (3) credits in science courses is required in a single sitting. The following subject combinations may be considered:
  • Remedial Science 1: English, Biology, Chemistry and Geography
  • Remedial Science 2: English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics
  • Remedial Science 3: English, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Geography
  • Remedial Science 4: English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Geography
• Admitted students must register and achieve credit pass in the SSCE or NECO for subjects deficient.
• After, registering for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), meeting the minimum requirement is compulsory.
• This program also spans twelve (12) months.

1. Head to the SBRS site sbrs.abu.edu.ng.
2. Click on ‘Create Account’ (for new users) or ‘Please Login’ (for returnees).
3. Provide your details as required.
4. Choose your program: Remedial or Basic/IJMB.
5. Complete your profile
6. Finally, click on ‘Buy Form’ and proceed to ‘Pay Online’.
