Welcome to a historic occasion: the combined 6th, 7th, and 8th Convocation Ceremonies. The Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) extends a warm invitation to its alumni, their parents/guardians, and the general public. In addition, the Chancellor, HRH Alhaji (Dr.) Abubakar Isa Ahmadu, CFR, FFPM, the Emir of Mubi, Adamawa State, will be invested at this esteemed event. This convocation, which is slated for February 4–10, 2024, looks to be a historic celebration of academic accomplishments and institutional expansion.

Sunday, February 4, 2024, is Day 1.

- Location: University Auditorium, Take-Off Site Campus, FULafia Chapel of Light.

Tuesday, February 7, 2024 is Day 2
- Event: The Vice-Chancellor’s Press Briefing
- Location: Senate Chamber, New
- Time: nine in the morning.
On Friday, February 9, 2024, is Day 3.
- First Event: Juma’at Prayers
- Location: Juma’at Mosque, Permanent Site Campus, Federal University of Lafia
- It is 1:15 p.m.
- Event 2: Brig. Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa, Chairman/CEO, NDLEA, CON, CFR, will give a convocation speech.
- Location: Permanent Site Campus, Mallam Adamu Adamu Office and Lecture Complex, Lafia, Nasarawa State
- Time: nine in the morning.
On Saturday, February 10, 2024, is Day 4.
- Event: Commencement and Ceremonies for the Chancellor
- Location: Federal University of Lafia, Makurdi Road, Lafia; Convocation Arena, Permanent Site Campus
- Time: nine in the morning.
Details for Recent Graduates
Enrollment and Clothes
- Payment instructions for graduates: Graduates must use a remittance to pay the designated amount. (Details provided in the attached brochure).
- Graduates are expected to wear appropriate clothing.
- Limitations on Entry: After 9:00 am, entry to the Convocation site is restricted. Each graduate may have up to two relatives.
- Graduating students are required to stay at the location until the end of the event.
- Return and Collection of Academic Gowns
- The collection period is set for February 5, 2024, from 10:00 am, and February 9, 2024, at 4:00 pm.
- comeback: The dates for the gowns’ comeback are February 12–16, 2024.
Obtaining Certificates
- Time: Beginning on Monday, February 12, 2024.
- The certificate and gown return clearance must be accompanied by proof of payment.
Security Procedures
- Parking: Parking cards must be presented to access designated lots.
- Checks for bags and luggage at entry points as part of the vehicle inspection process.
- The area around the Convocation Arena is off-limits to hawking.
- Entering a car with tinted windows requires authorization from security.
