For all students, entering the world of higher education is a crucial step. For the upcoming 2023/2024 academic year, the Federal University of Technology, Babura (FUTB), situated in Jigawa State, is inviting qualified applicants to take part in its post–UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening.

Who is eligible for the Direct Entry & Post-UTME Screening at FUTB?

Qualifications:

Fundamental prerequisites:

• A minimum of five relevant topics, including English language and math, must have been passed at credit in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or its equivalent by the candidate. This ought to be finished in no more than two sittings.

For Those seeking direct entry:

• Candidates should have a National Diploma with at least a Lower Credit.
• They also need to have received six points on the IJMB exam.

For Applicants of UTMe:

If you scored at least 150 on the 2023 UTME and you want to study at FUTB but didn’t make it your top choice, you could use the JAMB portal to change your selection to FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, BABURA. They have a choice between the following programs:

The Application Process Step-by-Step for FUTB’s Screening

The online registration period for qualified candidates will open on October 9, 2023, and run until midnight on February 4, 2024.

• Go to the official FUTB website.
• Enter your UTME number and corresponding score to have access to the system.
• Update your contact details to generate a REMITA Payment.
• There will be an automated generation of the REMITA Retrieval Reference Number (RRR).
• Candidates for Direct Entry should then upload their results from the SSCE and “A” Level.
• Any REMITA payment method may be used to make payments. To make an instant payment, choose “Pay Now”; otherwise, choose “Generate Payment Schedule” for a detailed payment schedule. There is an N2,000 cost that is not included in REMITA rates.
• You can edit your UTME information after payment has been successfully made.
• Add a passport-sized photo to it.
• Describe your O-level exams, limiting the number of sittings to two.
• Upload electronic versions of your UTME and O-level results.
• Create and print your acknowledgement slip to complete your application.
