Microscope

Microscope helps a scientist to study micro organisms – the cell and molecular structure. It’s one of the most important tool to diagnose tissue samples.

Microtome

It is a cutting tool used to produce extremely thin slices of materials known as sections. Microtomes uses glass, steel or diamond blades depending on the specimen being sliced and the desired sections of the thickness being cut.

Centrifuge

A centrifuge is a lab device used for the separation of fluid, gas or liquid based on density. Separation is achieved by spinning a vessel containing material at high speed. Centrifugal force pushes heavier material to the outside of the vessel.

Spectrophotometer

It is a device used to measure the intensity of light as a function of the color of light. It uses include for quantitative analysis, kinetics, spectrum scanning and multiple component DNA testing.

Autoclave

An autoclave is used to sterilize surgical equipment, laboratory instrument, pharmaceutical items and other materials. It uses the power of steam to kill bacteria, spores and germs refusing to boiling water and powerful detergents.

Analytical Balance

These are extremely measuring tool to measure accurately small masses in the laboratory.

Magnetic stirrer

This device is used to spin a stir bar. A stir bar is immersed in a liquid to quickly spin, stir or mix a solution.

Ph Meter

A simple and speedy device to measure the acidity and alkalinity of a fluid.

Laminar Flow Cabinet

This a carefully enclosed bench designed to prevent contamination of semic-inducter wavers, biological samples or any particle sensitive materials.

Gel Electrophoresis

Used for screening protein abnormality in various biological fluids such as serum and urine. Electropherograms are evaluated visually for the presence of quantitatively or qualitative abnormal protein bands.

Freezer

For storing blood samples and medical samples. The ultra low deep freezers are widely used in medical and industrial facilities to store chemicals, blood, cultures and other medical samples that can only be stored and preserved in low temperature range.

Micropipette

They are used to draw up, measure and deliver accurate volumes of liquid. They can measure between 1 – 1000ul.

Incubator

A laboratory incubator is a heated insulated box used to grow and maintain microbiological or cell cultures. It maintains optimal temperature , humidity and gaseous content of the atmosphere inside.

Hot air oven

It is widely used to sterilize equipment and materials used in the laboratory. It delivers heat treatment to a product.

Water bath

This device is used to incubate samples in water whilst maintaining at a constant temperature. Temperature may be maintained digitally or by a dial but once set, the bath circles on and off to ensure constancy of the temperature.
