Six students from Nigeria win top awards at the Cambridge Awards
Six students from three secondary schools in Nigeria have been given the prestigious Top in the World Outstanding Cambridge Learners Awards for how well they did on the Cambridge exams in June and November 2023.
At the British Council Recognition and Outstanding Cambridge Learners Awards event in Lagos on Thursday night, Mrs. Lucy Pearson, the Country Director of the Nigeria British Council, told the crowd about the winners.
Together with Cambridge International Examinations, the British Council recognizes outstanding students from a number of partner schools in Nigeria.
Pearson said that these prizes were given to students who got the best overall grades in English.
Two of the six winners are from the June 2023 class, and four are from the November 2023 class.
They go to Brookstone School, James Hope College, Lagos, and The Ambassadors Group of Schools. In particular, Oluwademilade David and Omaghomi Sharon from Brookstone School were praised for what they did in June 2023.
