Best WAEC Student 2023 Shalom Gets N1 Million Cash Award
Master Shalom Adesina, the highest achiever in the May/June 2023 West African Examination Council (WAEC), has received a cash prize of N1 million from Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq as a recognition of his outstanding performance.
The award ceremony took place on Wednesday, August 7, in the conference hall of the Ministry of Education in Ilorin.
Adesina, a student at Rehoboth College in Pipeline, attained exceptional marks in all of his WAEC courses, hence meriting this esteemed recognition.
Governor AbdulRazaq said that the project is designed to provide assistance and motivation to excellent students, such as Adesina. The governor praised Adesina’s remarkable achievements and expressed optimism that the financial contribution would contribute to his academic progress.
Peter Amogbonjaye, the Press Secretary for the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, confirmed the news on August 8 via the Kwara State Ministry of Communications’ X Twitter.
