1,000 Almajiri Children Get Health Insurance from Gombe
Under an equity scheme, Gombe State has enrolled 1,000 Almajiri children in its Contributory HealthCare Management Agency.
Tsansanya, Almajiri, and Islamiyya schools hosted the Governor’s Special Adviser-supported event.
Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, represented by Deputy Governor Dr. Manassah Jatau, said GoHealth was created to provide healthcare to disadvantaged and underprivileged people.
He said that 1,000 Almajiri students’ enrollment was a major stride in the administration’s healthcare initiatives since many in these categories could not afford healthcare without it.
The governor further stressed the significance of this program, stressing that disadvantaged Almajiri children are at increased risk of communicable illnesses owing to difficult living circumstances.
