The Federal College of Education (FCE) Zaria has released the approved academic calendar for the 2024/2025 session.
Below are key dates for NCE I, II, and III students:
First Semester (NCE I, II & III)
- Teaching Practice/SIWES (NCE III): Mon. 21st Oct 2024 – Fri. 1st Nov 2024 (2 weeks)
- Resumption/Registration: Mon. 11th Nov 2024 – Fri. 13th Dec 2024 (5 weeks)
- Lectures: Sat. 14th Dec 2024 – Sun. 5th Jan 2025 (Christmas/New Year break)
- Lectures: Mon. 6th Jan 2025 – Fri. 14th Mar 2025 (10 weeks)
- Examination: Mon. 17th Mar 2025 – Fri. 21st Mar 2025 (1 week)
- Eid al-Fitr/Sallah Break: Sat. 22nd Mar 2025 – Sun. 6th Apr 2025
- Examination: Mon. 7th Apr 2025 – Thur. 17th Apr 2025 (2 weeks)
- Easter, Labour Day, and Semester Break: Fri. 18th Apr 2025 – Sun. 4th May 2025
Second Semester (NCE I, II & III)
- Lectures: Mon. 5th May 2025 – Fri. 30th May 2025 (4 weeks)
- Eid al-Adha & Democracy Day Break: Sat. 31st May 2025 – Sun. 15th Jun 2025
- Lectures: Mon. 16th Jun 2025 – Fri. 25th Jul 2025 (6 weeks)
- Mid-Semester Break: Sat. 26th Jul 2025 – Sun. 3rd Aug 2025 (1 week)
- Lectures: Mon. 4th Aug 2025 – Thur. 4th Sept 2025 (5 weeks)
- Eid Maulud Holiday: Fri. 5th Sept 2025
- Examinations: Mon. 8th Sept 2025 – Fri. 26th Sept 2025 (3 weeks)
2025/2026 academic session begins on Monday, 27th October 2025.
Part-Time Students Academic Calendar (2023/2024)
- First Semester Registration: Dec. 1st – 15th 2023
- Late Registration for Returning Students: Dec. 16th – 23rd 2023
- Lectures (First Segment): Dec. 8th – 16th 2023
- Sallah Break: Apr. 12th – 18th 2024
- Examinations (Second Segment): May 24th – 15th Jun 2024
Second Semester begins in June 2024 and the 2024/2025 session commences on 6th Dec 2024.
