IMAP Sells Affordable Rice to Staff, Students, Others

Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic Lafia has launched the sales and mass production of IMAP Consult Parboiled Rice, a high-quality, affordable, and stone-free rice aimed at reducing the cost of living and improving the welfare of its staff, students, and the wider community.

The initiative was introduced against the backdrop of rising global food inflation.

During the launch, Acting Rector Dr. Nurudeen Mu’azu Maifata highlighted the Polytechnic’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and boosting local production and consumption. He emphasized that the Polytechnic prioritizes productivity and creativity in addressing social issues.

Dr. Maifata also assured staff that payments for the rice would be made in installments to ease the financial strain caused by the current economic climate. He encouraged the public to purchase the rice, promising high quality.

Dr. Ilah Obadiah, Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), commended the Rector for his foresight in addressing the needs of both staff and students and urged the Polytechnic community to take full advantage of the initiative. He expressed gratitude for the Rector’s efforts to alleviate the economic challenges faced by the institution.
