UNILORIN’s 18 years old Student Becomes Chartered Accountant

An 18 year-old student of accounting at the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), Faith Aduragbemi Olabisi has accomplished the amazing accomplishment of chartered accountant qualification.

A university bulletin claims that Faith passed the November 2024 professional tests of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), therefore attesting to the extraordinary intellectual quality of UNILORIN.

Faith said that although she had always dreamed of being a chartered accountant at an early age, she owed her lecturers and her mother their constant encouragement.

Acting Head of the Department of Accounting, Dr. Segun Abuntu praised Faith’s exceptional performance and pointed out that she is among other students in the department who passed the ICAN tests even prior to graduation.

He urged her and her friends to motivate others to attain like accomplishment. Emphasising UNILORIN’s history of turning out outstanding professionals, Professor Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, also commended Faith’s success.

He ascribed this performance to the university’s academic quality dedication and favourable surroundings. In his remarks, Professor Egbewole advised Faith to keep a role model in both learning and character. She had made her family, institution, and womanhood proud. He also exhorted other students to follow her tenacity and aim for excellence in their careers and studies.
