A Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech) lecturer was overcome with emotion as his students planned a kind birthday surprise for him.
In a heartwarming video posted by TikTok user @yinks_artistry, the pupils interrupted their lesson to give him considerate presents, like as food and other valuables.
His birthday was a genuinely memorable occasion as the students applauded and honoured him, and the emotional lecturer, affected by their generosity, found it difficult to contain his tears.
Since then, the video has gone viral, and many people on social media have praised the students for their kindness and the close relationship they have with their lecturer.
Reminiscent of the lecturer’s generosity, a previous student named Adejimi Ayomide shared, “I remember when I had my baby in 2021 during my final year.” He and Mrs. Akinbo would take my son from my husband, carry him, and play with him. God’s mercy will accompany you wherever you go in life.
“Mr. Michael made my education at Yabatech easy and stress-free,” wrote Anuoluwa, another user, in an expression of thanks. I appreciate you being such a wonderful man and my favourite educator.
