Sponsorship Education for Deceased Personnel Children

As part of its education sponsorship program for the 2024–2025 academic year, the Nigerian Army plans to carry out a verification and screening process for children of deceased members. For the children of service members who died while in active duty, this program guarantees access to high-quality primary, secondary, and university education.

The screening will take place between February 8 and March 17, 2025, in Abuja and the six geopolitical zones. Participation is invited from prospective applicants, recipients upgrading, and those who were not able to attend the prior screening.

Children of soldiers who lost their lives while serving are eligible to receive educational sponsorship from the Nigerian Army. Primary, secondary, and postsecondary education are all covered under this support.

Schedule of Screening Exercises

Several sites around the nation will host the verification and screening process

  • South-South Zone: February 8-11, 2025, at Headquarters 6 Division, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
  • South-East Zone: February 13-16, 2025, at Headquarters 82 Division, Enugu, Enugu State.
  • South-West Zone: February 18-21, 2025, at Headquarters 2 Division, Ibadan, Oyo State.
  • North-East Zone: February 24-27, 2025, at Headquarters Nigerian Army Armour Corps, Bauchi, Bauchi State.
  • North-West Zone: March 1-5, 2025, at Headquarters 1 Division Nigerian Army, Kaduna, Kaduna State.
  • North-Central and Abuja Zone: March 10-17, 2025, at Army Headquarters Command Officers’ Mess Asokoro, Abuja.

Qualifications and Conditions:

Those who missed the 2023/2024 screening process, beneficiaries upgrading their sponsorship, and new applications are all eligible to participate. Among the necessary documents are:

  • Handwritten sponsorship application
  • Admission letter
  • Final report card and outcomes
  • Additional pertinent papers
