Faith Aluku Adeshola, a diploma journalism student at Federal Polytechnic Bauchi’s Department of Mass Communication, unfortunately died Wednesday after being hit by a truck in a hit-and-run incident.
Witnesses said Faith was riding a motorbike to school when she was struck by a truck, which killed her instantly.
Since then, the truck driver and the motorcyclist have been taken into custody by the authorities.

Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital’s mortuary has received Faith’s remains. She was in the middle of finishing her registration when this tragic event occurred.
The president of the Polytechnic’s Students’ Union Government (SUG), Comrade Haruna Umar, has urged students to remain calm in the wake of this tragedy.
He informed them that the administration of the organisation and law enforcement are making every effort to bring about justice for Faith.
In order to assist stop future occurrences of this kind, Umar also asked the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the Polytechnic’s management to think about putting speed bumps around the campus.
