94-year-old Nigerian plans to enrol in JAMB 2025.

A 94-year-old Nigerian man named Pa Adedapo Idowu has demonstrated that age is not a barrier to study by successfully registering for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in order to attend the University of Ibadan (UI) and obtain a degree in Political Science.

Pa Idowu has finally taken the first step towards realising his lifelong desire of obtaining a tertiary degree, despite decades of doubt over whether the JAMB system would accept someone his age.

In a recent piece that appeared in JAMB’s weekly bulletin, he praised the easy registration procedure and the way the system treated him like any other applicant, reaffirming the idea that education should be accessible to all people, regardless of age.

Younger generations were encouraged by Pa Idowu, who emphasised that it’s never too late to follow one’s aspirations and encouraged students to embrace professionalism, devotion, and satisfaction in their academic pursuits.
