An unexpected anecdote was posted on social media by a Nigerian university invigilator who, while sitting next to students on a bus, overheard them discussing their intention to cheat on an impending exam.
The invigilator disclosed that he was on the same bus as the pupils in a post about the incident on X (previously Twitter). They were unaware that a lecturer was nearby as they discussed how they would share answers on the test.
He said, “These students I’m sitting beside are strategising on how to sit and pass answers in the examination hall,” to describe the situation.
“I’m one of their invigilators for the exam this afternoon, which is unfortunate.” “I can’t wait to scatter their formation during the exam,” he said, resolute in his efforts to foil their intentions. They believed that, like them, I was an undergraduate. Their looks are marked by me. Additionally, they have been unrestrainedly disparaging their instructors.
The post received a lot of online attention right once, and many people responded to the story. While some thought it was funny, others denounced the youngsters’ behaviour.
