CEO gives N500,000 to the Top Graduating Students from UNIZIK.

At the university’s 2025 convocation event, Dr. Frank Igbojindu, Group Managing Director of Akpoazaa Group, promised N500,000 in prizes for the top graduating students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka.

The award will be split into three categories: N100,000 for the best graduating student in the Department of Accountancy, N150,000 for the best graduating student from the Faculty of Management Sciences, and N250,000 for the overall best graduating student.

This declaration was made on Friday by Dr. Igbojindu, a professional accountant and university graduate, while visiting Prof. Joseph Ikechebelu, the acting vice chancellor. He explained that the gesture was an expression of gratitude to the organisation that helped him mould his education and career.

Along with the monetary prizes, he pledged to continue helping his alma mater and provided a tent with a capacity of 500 for the university’s 2025 convocation celebration.

Prof. Ikechebelu, the Acting Vice Chancellor, praised Dr. Igbojindu’s kindness and emphasised the value of alumni donations to the advancement of higher education. He urged other notable alumni to support the school, pointing out that UNIZIK is committed to producing capable and responsible people.

Likewise, Dr. Nestor Amahalu, Head of the Department of Accountancy, Prof. Frank Nwankwo, current Dean, and Prof. PVC Okoye, past Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences, conveyed their appreciation and praised Dr. Igbojindu as a proud son of the university. They also exhorted other alumni to strengthen and enhance the institution by imitating him.
