This announcement is directed at all potential students of the University of Calabar (UNICAL). The Allschoolabs Team wants to announce the UNICAL entrance list for the 2024/2025 academic session.

Procedure for Verifying the UNICAL Admission List.

At the time of this publishing, prospective students of UNICAL may only verify their admission status via the JAMB Portal.

Check the JAMB Admission Portal

To verify your admission status on the JAMB CAPS Portal and the JAMB Admission Checking Portal, please adhere to the following procedure:

1. Go https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/.
2. Login to your Jamb profile with your username and password.
3. Scroll down then locate and click the ‘Check Admission Status‘ tab.
4. Then click on Admission Status,
5. You should then click on check admission status or Click on Access my CAPS.
6. Select the three-dotted lines at the top right corner of your browser ( i.e. ⋮) and then tick ‘Desktop site‘. (you can click on the image for better view)
7. Then click on admission status
8. You will either see admission in progress check back later, or NOT ADMITTED, or CONGRATULATIONS.
9. Case 1: If you see CONGRATULATIONS…, accept/Reject your admission and wait for further instruction.
10. Case 2: If you see admission in progress, then be patient, the status will change in few days/weeks. Just check back after some time.
11. Case 3: Not Admitted, if in such case, please don’t give up yet! You might still gain admission. Just be hopeful!

Check UNICAL Admission Portal

The list will soon become available on the UNICAL Admission portal.

When that happens, you will likely use the following procedure to check your admission status:

First get the UNICAL Admission Checking card.

The admission checker cards can be purchased at the following banks:

1. UMFB, University of Calabar
2. Heritage Bank, Calabar Road
3. Wema Bank Murtala Muhammed H/Way
4. First City Monument Bank, Calabar Road

Then follow the procedure below to check:

• Go to UNICAL Admission Status Portal
• Enter your JAMB registration Number.
• Then click the login button to access your admission status.
• If admitted, you will see your name and course. If you have not yet been admitted, you will see “Sorry, this JAMB Number is YET TO BE ADMITTED. Kindly check back!!!”

Candidates whose names appear on this list should print their admission status slip and keep it for screening at their respective departments. They should also proceed to pay their acceptance fee on the eTransact platform at any commercial bank or UNICAL Microfinance Bank.
