The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) became victorious in the 2021 and 2022 JAMB National Tertiary Admissions’ Performance-Merit Award (NATAP-M Award), winning a ₦500 million award.

The 2024 JAMB policy conference and 4th NATAP-M Award in Abuja honored this accomplishment.

UNILORIN won with 12 points in five categories. Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in Zaria placed second with 11 points and ₦75 million, while Borno State University placed third with nine points and ₦50 million.

The sectoral awards recognized Kaduna Polytechnic as the top polytechnic with 12 points and ₦50 million. The Federal College of Education, Zaria, earned the title of the best college with 11 points and ₦50 million.

The PEFTI Film Institute in Lagos won ₦10 million for topping the Innovation Enterprise Institutions category with six points. Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, JAMB Registrar, upped the award amount to ₦750 million to enable winners to achieve concrete outcomes.

The event demonstrated devotion and quality in tertiary admissions, according to Deputy Senate President Jibril Barau.

On behalf of the honorees, Prof. Okebukola thanked God and the board and praised Prof. Ishaq Oloyede. For his leadership, integrity, and dedication, saying he would make a great Nigerian president.
