
Parents, government officials, traditional title holders, and other well-wishers attended the matriculation ceremony, which was the fourth since the university’s founding in 2021, held at the Professor Abubakar Adamu Rasheed Twin Lecture Theatre. According to Mohammed Israr, the occasion signified the new students’ formal admission to the university’s academic program, as authorised by the National Universities Commission, or NUC.
He encouraged the kids to adopt self-discipline and take their studies seriously while congratulating them on their acceptance into the university.
According to Mr. Israr, MAAUN has matured because it has a strategic objective to provide its students with the best cutting-edge scientific research and management, leadership, and leadership services.
“This has further proven MAAUN’s capacity to deliver the best to its students and the attraction it has received globally,” he said, revealing that the university has enrolled 192 international students from Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Chad, the Benin Republic, Sudan, Pakistan, and Lebanon.
Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria in Kano has a big goal. He urged everyone to join the university’s founder and his group of wise thinkers and scholars in order to ensure the institution’s success and future growth. During his speech, Prof. Adamu Abubakar-Gwarzo, the founder of the MAAUN Group of Universities, cautioned the incoming students to take their studies seriously and threatened to fire those who did not meet the standards.
Mr. Gwarzo urged the incoming students to be morally upright and to be pleased to be a member of the MAAUN family, particularly in light of the significant financial and intellectual investments the university has made.
According to Mr. Gwarzo, the university is dedicated to offering top-notch instruction in order to generate top-notch graduates who may go on to lead the nation.
Dr. Shu’aibu Tanko, the vice president of administration of MAAUN Maradi in the Niger Republic, encouraged the students to be good representatives of MAAUN and Nigeria in general in his message of goodwill.
He claimed that in addition to teaching knowledge, MAAUN gives students the tools they need to support themselves once they graduate. Some parents praised the university’s founder and administration for their dedication to making sure that students are not only academically strong but also morally upright in their individual goodwill letters.
However, they urged the incoming students to focus so they might achieve their life goals. The new students were given the matriculation oath by Dr. Habib Awais Abubakar, the vice president of administration, who presided over the proceedings at the matriculation ceremony. Prominent dignitaries that attended the event were Prof. Armaya’u Bichi of the VC Federal University Dutsinma, Dr. Saluhu Muhammad, Director of the Africa Institute for Solutions and Development, and Prof. Amina Salihi Bayero.
Additional managerial personnel from MAAUN included Dr. Nura A. Yaro, Director of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance; Prof. Ahmad Maigari Ibrahim, Dean of the School of Postgraduate Studies; and Prof. Abubakar Sadiq, Director of the Institute of Africa Higher Education Research and Innovation, or IAHERI.
Other attendees were Dean of Schools, Chairs of Departments, Head of Human Resources, Hajiya Maimunat S. Bello, Head of Campus Life, Dr. Hamza Garba, and Head of the MAAUN International Office, Engr. Bashir Garba.
