1503 Recently Admitted Students at SLUK Matriculates

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Muhammad Ibrahim Yakasai, fcasson, mnae, presided over the ceremony, which marked the official induction of students for the 2024/2025 Academic Session. He reaffirmed the university’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence and the holistic development of its students. In his speech, Professor Yakasai underlined the university’s mission to generate graduates who are not only ethically and academically sound but also capable of contributing to society as responsible and productive members.

He exhorted the recently accepted students to be excellent representatives of their communities and to scrupulously follow the university’s norms and regulations. The vice chancellor also warned the students about social vices and emphasised the value of concentrating on their academic and personal development.

According to Professor Yakasai, only 1,753 of the 8,761 applicants received an admission offer, and 1,503 of them successfully registered. The university’s dedication to upholding high academic standards and making sure that only the most eligible applicants are admitted is demonstrated by this selective admissions process. He congratulated the new students on their successful induction and said they were lucky to be a member of the SLUK community, which is committed to encouraging character development and excellence in learning.

All of the university’s principal officers, senators, and ACP Ali Musa, the Area Commander of the Nigerian Police Force’s Kafin Hausa Area Command, were among the important participants in the matriculation ceremony. Their attendance demonstrated the significance of the occasion and the group’s dedication to assisting the students in their academic endeavours.

The matriculation of these 1,503 students is another significant step in SLUK’s objective to support national development via high-quality education, as the institution grows and maintains its standing as a hub of academic excellence.

With the institution giving them the resources and setting they need to succeed, the recently admitted students have now formally started their academic careers. As the students were reminded of the opportunities and obligations that come with being a part of the SLUK community, the ceremony ended with a feeling of hope and resolve.

They are prepared to contribute significantly to society after graduation with the help of the university’s faculty and administration.
