19 years old Aisha Graduates as OOU’s Best Economics Student

Aisha Dauda, a 19-year-old Nigerian student, has accomplished a remarkable academic achievement by becoming Olabisi Onabanjo University’s (OOU) top graduating student. Her remarkable Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.87 allowed her to graduate with a Bachelor of Economics degree.
Aisha celebrated her accomplishments by sharing her inspirational academic path on X (previously Twitter), emphasising the many honours she got for her outstanding work.

She disclosed that she was admitted to OOU at the age of 15 after taking her first Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) at the age of 14. She graduated with outstanding honours at the age of 19 after maintaining top academic standing throughout her time in college via perseverance and hard work.

Aisha received numerous distinguished honours for her exceptional work, including:

• Best Graduating Student of the Faculty of Social Sciences;

• Best Graduating Student of the Department of Economics; and

• Overall Best Graduating Student (BGS) of the 2023–2024 Academic Session.

In addition to her academic achievements, Aisha showed leadership and adaptability. She won the Gbemiga Abiodun Education Program Scholarship (2023–2024) and placed first runner-up in the Inter-Faculty Debate Competition (September 2023) as well.
