The start of the 2024 JAMB Direct Entry Registration has been announced by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB). This is a significant chance for those with degrees, diplomas, or A-level certificates who want to enroll in a university degree program. Many prospective university students, especially those who want to enroll at an advanced level, find this process to be crucial, thus it’s important to carefully review the requirements, registration procedure, and important dates.

Eligibility for Direct Entry in JAMB

To be qualified for Direct Entry, you need to fulfill certain academic requirements. Among them are:

  • The completion of two sittings of the SSSC in a minimum of five (5) topics, with a minimum of two required subjects per program (course of study) at the Principal or Advanced level.
  • Three additional credit passes in the SSCE are combined with two passes [in required topics for each (program) course of study] in the A’Level Examination given by IJMB, Cambridge, JUPEB, or Institute of Baccalaureate.
  • Credit passes in three more courses at SSSC, NTC/NBC (mostly for education and technical programs), and two major subjects in the NCE
  • A minimum of a credit grade meeting the necessary O-level standards for a National Innovation Diploma, University/National Diploma, or both. A special committee will verify all submitted Advanced Level Qualifications and any falsified results will result in legal action.

Acceptable Requirements for Enrollment

Keep in mind that during the registration procedure, only 13 qualifications or certificates will be considered. Among them are:

  1. First degree
  2. University diploma
