Joy took the painful decision to leave UIC in 2019, just three semesters before graduating, and returned to Nigeria, even though she maintained an outstanding 3.98 CGPA. She enrolled in Caleb University, where she studied industrial chemistry and graduated as the valedictorian, determined to further her education.

As she reflected on her path, Joy underlined that her accomplishments are evidence of her tenacity and that failures can serve as stepping stones to achievement. She said that her love of chemistry made learning fun and credited her accomplishments to discipline, perseverance, and faith.

She counselled pupils who wanted to thrive academically to stay dedicated, ask questions, and keep their eyes on the prize. Joy is enthusiastic about upcoming professional opportunities and is committed to pushing limits and redefining success.
