Allied Health Sciences (334), Basic Medical Sciences (341), Clinical Sciences (210), Dentistry (30), Arts and Islamic Studies (497), Communication (252), and Education (1,345) were the faculties from which the graduates were selected. Pharmaceutical Sciences (39), Life Sciences (514), Engineering (465), and Physical Sciences (375) were among the others.
Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, the Convocation’s Vice-Chancellor and Chairman, underlined BUK’s dedication to quality instruction, research, and community service. He outlined the university’s strategic vision, which includes integrating ICT-driven learning, moving away from a curriculum that is heavily centred on the arts and humanities and towards a more science-based approach, and aligning with international best practices in higher education. He also highlighted how the university is working to improve the student experience by implementing a number of welfare programs, skill-building courses, and increased campus security.

The Vice-Chancellor spoke to the graduates, saying: “I want to express my sincere congratulations to all of our distinguished graduates. You are starting a new chapter in your journey today. Keep in mind that you are representatives of Bayero University in Kano as you enter the world. Maintain the values of honesty, excellence, and service while making a significant contribution to the advancement of your communities and our country. Many graduates praised the university’s administration for fostering a supportive learning environment that helped them succeed academically and expressed their happiness at being a part of the historic convocation.
