The Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board has officially closed its online portal for the recruitment of primary school teachers. A significant number of 52,423 applications were received throughout the application period.
The job application site for hiring 7,000 primary school teachers became available on June 25, 2024.
The employment application site was closed after the July 9 deadline, as stated by Nureni Adeniran, the Chairman of Oyo SUBEB, in a signed statement on Thursday.
He expressed admiration for the reaction, indicating that people are really enthusiastic and eager to collaborate with the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board.
The chairman said that Governor Seyi Makinde has a strong interest in the basic education sub-sector.
Furthermore, the Board has requested for a harmonious collaboration between itself and the Oyo State Local Government Staff Pension Board.
Akeem Ige, the Chairman of the local government staff pension board, disclosed this information during a visit to Oyo SUBEB.
Adeniran said that the collaboration will help expedite the process of documenting retiring elementary school teachers.
