2021 REVISED
Even after writing this post six years ago, I’m still in shock at how this one little post has grown into a fantastic community of individuals who are all trying to pass this exam together. Having said that, I think the resources and instructions provided in the first post are insufficient at this time. Even though it has been years since I took the GRE, two essential facts never change.
The Official GRE Prep Book is your sole resource. Written by the people who designed the test, it’s a great resource. Those who designed the test are the best people to learn from. Purchase only the Official GRE guide; throw away all other books.
The official GRE practice exams are an invaluable resource. All you need is Powerprep Online and Powerprep Plus Online. They are the most similar replacement for the actual test. I implore you to do at least one Powerprep Practice test before taking the exam. You should take the Powerprep Plus online exam, in my opinion. Although it is a premium service, I promise it is well worth the money. Please take note that I did not succeed in doing this, as seen by my grades.
The rest is up to you after you have these tools (the practice test and the book). After making a study schedule, try to study as much as you can. Please make every effort to complete the exercises in the books as you learn. When you can respond correctly to questions about that subject, your learning is complete. You haven’t learned enough if, brotherly or sisterly, you can’t solve problems. Please review the content again.
Lastly, do the Powerprep online or Powerprep plus examinations after studying. You may need to study and write the tests over weeks or months. That is unimportant. While keeping an eye on the college admissions cycle, do what suits you. You are probably ready for the primary exam by now. Now go on and gracefully pass your test.
I am aware that things might not go exactly as planned. There will be days when you don’t want to learn. You might even experience loneliness at times. This is a perfectly common occurrence. To stay motivated, surround yourself with successful individuals who share your goals. You may connect with a lot of incredible people on this site. Don’t forget to take care of your diet, sleep, and general wellness. When you eat healthily, get enough sleep, and have a stable emotional life, your brain functions at its best.
Life is an exquisite voyage. Continue concentrating and pursuing your goals. You will realize you are living your dreams when you wake up one day. For me, it has been that way. I first thought I would move to the US to live and study. I’m pursuing that desire right now.
