Mercy Chinwo and Husband Give 100 Undergrads Full Scholarship
Mercyisblessed Foundation, founded by gospel artist Mercy Chinwo and her husband, Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa, has given 100 University of Calabar freshmen full scholarships.
According to her management’s Monday statement, the pair announced this to a thrilled gathering of students on Friday, July 12, 2024, during their campus tour.
The scholarship provides comprehensive funding for tuition fees and offers supplementary assistance to achieve educational stability for talented but economically disadvantaged students. Chinwo expressed her opinions on the effort. She stated that the scholarship is a means of reciprocating the support she received from the community. “Port Harcourt will forever hold a special place in my heart.” I hold dear the recollections of a metropolis where I had the audacity to envision and strive for a purposeful existence. I express gratitude to the Lord for His accomplishments in and by means of me up to this point. The purpose of this scholarship is to motivate students. To have faith in their aspirations and to persevere. Asthere is a divine force that provides boundless love,” she said.
The scholarships start immediately. Chinwo noted that suitable channels would disseminate selection criteria and other information for shortlisting qualified individuals.
