NMU has sent a notice to all students and staff about the planned nationwide protests.
I would like to inform the staff and students about the order issued by the Honourable Minister of Education about the safety and security of staff, students, and university property during the upcoming statewide demonstrations scheduled from Thursday, 1st to Saturday, 10th August 2024. My purpose is to provide advice on this matter.
It is important for both staff and students to stay at their assigned locations and concentrate on their academic activities on campus in order to prevent any possible harm during the scheduled demonstrations.
The management would take proactive measures to safeguard the security and safety of the university community, including both staff and students, throughout the specified time.
All staff and students are instructed to refrain from attending any public gatherings in order to ensure their safety and security.
I would want to tell you that, if the planned demonstrations take place, it is imperative that you comply with the instructions provided.
