23-Year-Old Nigerian Fulfills Childhood Dream of Becoming a UK Lawyer, Celebrates
Alice Oladipupo, a 23-year-old Nigerian, has achieved her long-held goal of becoming a lawyer in the United Kingdom. To mark this accomplishment, she celebrated by posting photographs of her admission to the Bar of England & Wales, including a sentimental picture of herself as a little kid donning a barrister’s wig. I have been admitted to the Bar of England & Wales. “This has truly been my aspiration since I was a young girl (last slide) and now, it has become a reality,” she said on Instagram.
Alice obtained her LL.B degree from the University of Surrey, England. She then pursued a Master’s in Bar Vocational Studies at City University of London. She expressed delight at becoming the first attorney in her family and achieving a cherished aspiration. Her interest in law started at a primary school job fair and grew by watching court dramas on TV.
Alice’s mother enhanced her achievement by funding her master’s degree after a scholarship rejection.. She conveyed her appreciation, affirming, “I am indebted to my mother for everything.” She believed in my potential to become a lawyer and ensured that financial constraints didn’t hinder my aspiration.
