University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) Hostel Accommodation Application Process for 2024/2025 Academic Session

The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) announces the following schedule and procedure for booking and paying for hostel accommodation for the 2024/2025 academic session:

• Booking of Bed Spaces: Starts on Monday, 16th December 2024 at 8:00 PM.
• Payment for Bed Spaces: Begins on Tuesday, 17th December 2024 at 8:00 AM and ends on Sunday, 5th January 2025 at 11:59 PM. All unpaid bed spaces will be revoked at midnight on 5th January 2025.
• Payment Schedule and Online Booking Procedure: Details will be released on 13th December 2024.

Payment Fees for Each Hall of Residence

• Aisha Hall (F): N15,135.00
• Murtala Mohammed Hall (F): N15,135.00
• Sardama Hall (M): N15,135.00
• Tafawa Balewa Hall (M): N15,135.00
• Ibrahim Imam Hall (M): N15,135.00
• Ado Bayero Hall (M): N15,135.00
• New Male A Hall (M): N22,635.00
• New Male B Hall (M): N22,635.00
• Aisha Buhari Hall (F): N22,635.00

Procedure for Payment of Hostel Maintenance Fees

1. Login to Remita.net and select pay TSA and State.
2. Choose Federal Government of Nigeria and select Pay a Bill.
3. In the “Who do you want to pay?” box, enter University of Maiduguri.
4. In the “Name of Service Purpose,” select Hostel Maintenance Fees.
5. In the Description box, write Payment of Hostel Maintenance Fees 2021/2022 and your student ID number.
6. Enter the Amount to be paid based on your booked hall (see above).
7. Provide the payer’s name, phone number, and valid email.
8. After submission, choose your payment method:
   • Option 1: Pay by Card.
   • Option 2: Pay via Bank Branch (print the payment receipt and visit any bank).
9. After payment, send the RRR receipt to the Student Affairs Office for verification.
10. Upon verification, collect your Hostel Permit and report to your hall.

Important Notes:

• Only registered students are eligible for accommodation.
• Bed space booking is done online via the UMSTAD App and is on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Booking can only be done after obtaining a PIN number (details will be announced soon).
• The E-Accommodation platform (UMSTAD App) handles all bookings and room allocations.
• Payments must be made through official channels. Payments to individuals are at the student’s own risk.
