After discovering her grandmother’s social studies notebook from 1974, which contained insightful historical information about Lagos and the establishment of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), a Nigerian woman has generated a lot of attention online.
She shared the finding on the social media site X, formerly known as Twitter, along with quotes from the old notebook that dates back decades and lists the military governors of Nigeria’s 19 states at the time.

She wrote to convey her excitement:
discovered the 1974 social studies note that belonged to my grandmother. It has several treasures, including a brief history of Lagos. A little bit about the 19 states’ military governors and the creation of the FCT.
Social media users rapidly crowded the comment section with replies to the post, many of whom found the content to be both historically relevant and fascinating.
