Harvard University astrophysicist Dr. Willie Soon, a Malaysian, is about to reveal a novel mathematical formula that he thinks may prove the presence of God.
The “fine-tuning argument,” which holds that the fundamental laws of the cosmos are so finely tuned that they could not have happened by accident, is the foundation of his research. Rather, this accuracy suggests that a greater power was involved in the creation of the universe.

Dr. Soon challenges the conventional divisions between science and religion, arguing that his calculations could help heal the long-standing gap between the two disciplines. His research is in line with that of famous scientist Paul Dirac, who once proposed that the mathematical structure of the universe suggests the existence of divine intelligence.
Dr. Soon remembered the physicist’s well-known quote from Dirac:
“One could perhaps describe the situation by saying that God is a mathematician of a very high order, and He used very advanced mathematics in constructing the universe.”
In the scientific and religious worlds, Dr. Soon’s theory has generated debates as many people wait for his complete mathematical demonstration. If his work is effective, it has the potential to change how science and faith work together to explain the universe.
