In the 2025 JAMB, 16-year-old Olamide Aderibigbe of Starville International School in Abuja scored 336 out of 400, including an impressive 98 in mathematics, making him one of Nigeria’s top achievers.
Among the top 0.25% of the more than 1.9 million applicants who took the test, he received scores of 86 in Physics, 84 in Economics, and 68 in English. Less than 5,000 students scored higher than 320, and just 12,414 students scored higher than 300, according to JAMB Registrar Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, underscoring Olamide’s outstanding accomplishment.

Mr. Niran Aderibigbe, Olamide’s father, was grateful and proud of his son’s accomplishment, characterising him as a naturally talented student who had a keen interest in mathematics and creative design. Olamide is considering Covenant University and the University of Ibadan as his top options for pursuing a degree in architecture.
His accomplishment highlights the value of commitment and academic concentration and stands out, particularly in a year with high failure rates. Young Nigerians are still motivated to strive for success in spite of all obstacles by tales like Olamide’s.
