Ifeoluwa Olokode, a remarkable Nigerian academic, has effectively obtained two master’s degrees from the University of Oxford, UK, in a mere two years. She accomplished this feat by receiving the Oxford Pershing Square Scholarship, a fully funded program that provides assistance to students participating in the Oxford 1+1 MBA initiative. In 2023, she earned a Master of Science in International Health and Tropical Medicine through this program. Subsequently, she pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2024.

Ifeoluwa’s academic voyage at Oxford was rigorous, necessitating the completion of over 700 hours of lectures and the submission of over 25,000 words in assessments. She applied her knowledge of international health, finance, and governance to real-world business challenges as she investigated a variety of disciplines throughout the program. Additionally, she honed her systems-thinking abilities, conducted an analysis of business models, and devised a prospective acquisition roadmap for a health technology company in Africa. In addition to her academic pursuits, she assumed numerous leadership positions, including co-president of her MBA cohort and co-head of engagement for the Oxford Africa Business Alliance. She played a substantial role in the organisation of the 2024 Oxford Africa Business Forum, where she facilitated discussions regarding Africa’s expanding influence in the global economy. Furthermore, she contributed to the expansion of a mentorship program, which resulted in a fourfold increase in participation and the integration of more than 40 mentor-mentee pairs.
She was chosen to deliver a speech at the program’s concluding ceremony, and her exceptional performance earned her a spot on the dean’s list, which acknowledged her as one of the top 10% of her class..
