ABU Team Places Second in NUNSA National Malaria Research Competition

A team from Ahmadu Bello University secured the second position in the Nigerian Universities Nursing Students’ Association (NUNSA) National Malaria Mini Research Competition.

The event was coordinated in partnership with the Youth Health Action Network (YOHAN) Africa. Surprisingly, the squad achieved this achievement while simultaneously studying for their semester tests.

The team members credited their achievement to their daring, teamwork, and mentoring, including substantial help from mentors Nr. Japhet Jonah and Nr. Markus Zirahgi Reuben. Their guidance played a crucial role in enabling the pupils to achieve despite their challenging timetables.

The team also conveyed their appreciation to YOHAN and the NUNSA National Executives, namely the 28th Vice President, Nr. Chikamso Chibieze, for coordinating the tournament. They anticipate that this achievement will pave the way for other triumphs for NUNSA National and the nursing vocation.

This acknowledgment emphasizes the unwavering devotion and diligent efforts of aspiring nursing students and their mentors, showcasing their dedication to the progress of healthcare research and education.
