First Semester: A New Beginning

February 2024

First Week

  • 9–11 February: New and returning students arrive
  • 12 February: Returning students can register for courses.

Week Two

  • 14 February: Freshmen orientation at the university
  • 14 February: Lecturers submit second-semester results for 2022–2023 to departments.
  • The Departmental Board meets on February 15 to discuss the outcomes of the second semester in 2022/2023.
  • 16 February: Freshman course enrollment opens.
  • 16 February: Jumat prayers and interdenominational prayers
  • 19 February: First day of classes for new Students

Week Three

  • 21 February: Returned students continue to attend lectures.
  • The Faculty Board meets on February 21 to discuss second-semester outcomes for 2022/2023.
  • 22–23 February: All students continue with lectures.
  • 26 February – 1 March: Returning students’ initial quiz

Week Four

  • 29 February: 100L students continue to have lectures.
  • Senate meeting on February 29 to approve outcomes of the second semester
  • 4–8 March: All students continue to receive lectures.
  • 4 March: 100L students’ departmental orientation
  • 4 Mar: Initiation Quiz scores are submitted to the Departments and DAP.
  • 8 March: Returning students’ course registration closes.

Week Five

  • 11 March: Returning students can register for courses after the deadline.
  • 11–15 March: All students continue to receive lectures.
  • Midterm Exam for Returning Students, March 18–22
  • 18–22 March: 100L students continue with lectures

March 2024

Week Six

  • 19 March: Returning students’ late course registration deadline
  • March 25–29: Midterm test for 100L students,
  • 25–29 March: All students continue to receive lectures.

April 2024

Week Seven

  • 1–5 April: New and returning students can still attend lectures.
  • 5 April: Returning students’ midterm exam scores are turned in to the departments.

Week Eight

  • 8–12 April: All students continue to receive lectures.
  • 8 April: Departments receive the results of the 100L midterm exam.
  • 12 April: New students no longer receive matriculation numbers.
  • 12 April: Last day to register for classes for new students

Week Nine

  • 15–19 April: All students continue to receive lectures.
  • April 19: Matriculation week for returning students.
  • April 22–27: Revision week for 100L students.
  • 29 April–4 May: Week of Convocation

May 2024

Week Eleven

  • May 6–10: 400–500L students’ first-semester exam is scheduled.
  • May 6–10: More students can attend the lectures.

Week Eleven

  • May 13–17: First semester exams for 200-300L students.
  • May 13–17: 100L students continue to attend lectures.

Week Twelve

  • 20–24 May: 200–300L students’ first semester exams conclude.
  • 20–24 May: 100L students’ revision week

Week Thirteen

  • First semester 100L–200L CBT-based GST and ENT Exams are scheduled for May 27–31.
  • First semester 100L written and practical exams start on May 27–31.

Week Fourteen

  • June 3–7: The official end of the first semester of the 2023–2024 school year.
  • June 7: Half a Year SIWES starts for concerned students.
  • June 8: Students leave the school

Continuing the Academic Journey in the Second Semester

June 2024

First Week

  • June 22–23: Students return to college for the second semester of 2023–2024.
  • June 24: All students can begin registering for courses for the second semester.

Week Two

  • 24-28 June: All students begin lectures.

July 2024

Week Three

  • July 1-5: All students continue to receive lectures.
  • July 5: The Departmental Board meets to discuss first semester results for 2023/2024.

Week Four

  • July 8–12: Initiation Test/Talks
  • July 10: Faculty Board meets to discuss first semester results for 2023–2024
  • July 15–19: More lectures
  • July 18: Departments and DAP receive the results of the Inception quiz.
  • July 19: Course registration for the second semester closes.
  • July 19: The results portal for the first semester expires.

Week Five

  • July 22–26: More lectures

August 2024

  • July 29–31: More lectures

  • August 1–3 is Students Week

  • August 5–9: Midterm test for all students, lectures

  • 26–30 August: More lectures

Week Twelve

  • Revision week for 200L–500L students is September 2–6.
  • Lectures for 100L students continue from September 2–6.

Week Thirteen

  • September 9–13: 400l and 500l students’ second-semester exams

Week Fourteen

  • Revision week for 100L students is September 16–20.

Week 15

  • September 23–27 is when the second-semester exams for students in 200L and 300L start.
  • Second-semester exams for 200L and 300L students conclude from September 30 to October 4.

Week 16

  • 7–11 October: CBT-based second semester GST and ENT Examinations for 100L–200L

October 2024

Week 17

  • October 7–11: The second semester’s written and practical tests for 100L begin.

Week 18

  • October 14–18: End of the second semester’s written and practical exams for 100L
  • 18 October: SIWES ends after 6 months and starts again after 3 months
  • October 19: Students leave the campus

November2024

  • 18 Nov: THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE 2024–2025 ACADEMIC YEAR IS ON November 18
  • Departmental Board meets November 18–22 to discuss results from the second semester.
  • The Faculty Board meets November 25–29 to discuss results from the second semester.
  • The results portal for the second semester expires on November 28.
  • 30 November: Senate meeting to confirm findings
